Biography:
PhD in Chemistry at the Organic Chemistry Department, University of Murcia, Spain. Prof. Marcos Lanzón joined the Technical University of Cartagena (UPCT) in 2009, where he teaches building materials with a major focus on materials science, coatings and characterisation. He has co-authored numerous scientific papers in journals and international conferences. He is member of the editorial board of Cement and Concrete Research and Materiales de Construcción and has collaborated extensively with the EU Commission in scientific actions within 7FP and H2020. He has also conducted research collaborations with several institutions for the conservation of heritage constructions, some of which are declared as World Heritage Sites by UNESCO.
